Odoo already knows how to invoice, keep a calendar, hold contacts and send mail. What it does not know is a school year, a class of thirty children, a term report card or a fee that falls due in three instalments. This module adds only that, and leaves the rest to Odoo. Academic years and terms frame everything. Classes belong to a level and a year, subjects are taught by a teacher, and a student is enrolled once per year. Attendance is taken against the class, not against a payroll record. Marks are entered per subject, weighted by the scheme you choose, and the report card is a template driven by your own grading scale — the same code prints a CBSE sheet, an IB sheet or a Gulf sheet. Fees are Odoo invoices. Instalments are Odoo payment terms. Payment is any Odoo payment provider. Runs on Community and Enterprise alike. Ships in English, Arabic, French and Spanish.

This is an add-on. It requires School Management — Classes, Attendance, Exams, Fees, which is a separate purchase. The children, the classes and the academic year all live in that module; on its own this one will not install. A boarding school's hostel register answers one question at two in the morning: which room is this child in? Everything else — the block, the warden's number, the bed — exists to answer it faster. So the module is three objects and a handful of refusals. A block with a warden. Rooms in it, each with how many beds it holds. An allotment: this child, this room, this year, from this date. A room cannot take more children than it has beds, a child cannot hold two rooms in one year, and two children cannot be put in the same bed — the database says so, not a warning somebody clicks past at admission time in July. Vacating is a date, not a delete: a child who left in March was in that room until March, and the register has to still say so. Around that sit the three things a boarding school does every day. The gate register. Out at four on Saturday, due back at eight, with the uncle whose name the gate wrote down — and the time stamped by the gate, not typed by anybody. A child cannot be outside the walls twice. This is not the school's leave, which is days; it is hours, and the two answer different questions.
Odoo 20 sends every AI request (chat, agents, automations, AI fields, source indexing, speech to text) to Odoo's own AI service, paid in Odoo AI credits, with a model you cannot choose. This module sends them to your own provider accounts instead. * Add providers with your own keys: OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, xAI Grok, OpenRouter, Groq, Mistral, DeepSeek, Together, Perplexity, Ollama, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (proxies, Azure gateways, LM Studio, vLLM). * One click imports every model a key can use. * Pick a default model for chat, web search, images, embeddings and speech to text, and give any agent its own model. * Tune each model: max output tokens, reasoning effort, temperature. * Anything you leave empty keeps running on Odoo AI credits, so you can move over one feature at a time. A guardian opens the portal to check on somebody else. A child opens it to find out what happens next, and opens it on a phone, between lessons, with one hand. Those are different screens, and until now the school had only the first one. This adds the second: **Today** — the lesson running now and the one after it, what is due this week and what is already late, what the register said this morning, and the notices that went up. Everything else the child already has — marks, attendance, the library, their card — is one tap from it. Nothing here is a second set of permissions. A student login has always seen its own records and nothing else; what it did not have was a screen written for a child rather than for a parent. The guardian's portal is left exactly as it was. Whether students get a login at all is the school's decision, and it is one switch on the company.

Buy and install the main module first, then this. A library is two things a school keeps confusing: a *title* and a *copy*. Thirty children asking for "Charlotte's Web" want one of the school's four copies, and only the copy has an accession number, a shelf and a borrower. This module keeps them apart, so the shelf list is right and "is it in?" has an answer. The counter runs on scanning. Issue by scanning the accession number, return by scanning it again — the desk never types a child's name twice. A copy that is already out cannot be issued again: the database refuses it, rather than leaving two children holding one book in the system. Due dates come from the school's own rule, not ours: how many days a loan runs, how many books a child may hold, how many renewals, and the fine per day are numbers on the company — with a second pair for staff, because a teacher keeps a book for the term and a child for a fortnight. Overdue books print as a chasing list with the class and the guardian's telephone number, because that is how a book actually comes back. The atlas on the reference desk stays there: a copy marked reference only is on the shelf and in the catalogue, counted apart from what can be lent, and refused at the counter. When every copy of a title is out there is a queue, kept in the order it was asked in. A copy comes back, the first in line is emailed and the book is put aside for a few days; if nobody comes it goes to the next child. A copy being kept cannot be lent to anybody else, and a renewal cannot jump the queue. Families see what their children have out on the portal, with the due date and how long is left — the question that otherwise arrives as a phone call. They can search the catalogue too, and join the queue for a book that is out.
